I will try booting from the Vista CD when I find it… This happened after I ended windows explorer. I am not sure where it goes but you could do a search for it on another working computer, then copy it to a flash drive, go to the non-working computer, It is as if Vista is seeing if your machine exactly matches the last configuration and if it doesn't, it will not boot. Normally I find the answers to my issues right away in these forums without having to ask a question. i can move my cursor and click and open things. press ctrl, alt and delete 3. Happened again.
