I would try another one - borrow one to diagnose the problem. If these setting were the source of the problem, it should now be able to boot normally. You may not like the screen settings, but at least you now have a place to start. F8 and F10 are not working. Thought maybe the DELL version of XP was checking the HD for info during install, serial numbers or such. Last updates on 16 June(Security Updates for XP and for IE7).Checks, tests and possible indicators7. Everything was still smooth, POST ran through without a hitch, windows splash screen came up then it went blank, but I could hear through the speaker that normal processes were running

After that I flashed the BIOS to the latest version, set optimized defaults in BIOS then re-installed the drivers for the graphics card. I do have it Duel Booting into XP also and that works fine. Windows Logo Appears Then Screen Goes Black Windows 10 Toggling between video output did not work.
