Did you move the drives from one case or motherboard to another after they had Windows installed on them? I waited to see if the display came on and it reset after a while, giving a very short glimpse of a blue screen. i'm having similar problems. I did a new install to a different folder which worked. When my computer loads up, it gets past the bios fine and what not but when it tries to load into the Windows Xp loading thing, I get a black screen.
