It could safe you a lot of time and stress. I happened to have a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse which turned out to be the cause of the problem. BTW, was the 6900 working for awhile, or did you literally just install it recently. Possibly this started after some Windows updates where installed, so try a point before those (if you have those on automatically install and they downloaded when you were away). If that fails just delete the file and it should be false be default. It worked fine after that. I'm assuming since I'm using a very old monitor, and the screen goes black after Windows loading, that it's the refresh rate I must fix. My system froze after windows logo and process bar displayed and after a couple of animations stays there for ever. I have the same problem !!!
