I was able to find them while adding a network place but they still didn't show up in the network places folder. You could also take the computer out of the workgroup, then put it back in. I was able to ping my desktop with success and as a result, the desktop was then able to ping that laptop. Her laptop cannot connect to the more secure WPA2-PSK settings.
