You just ended 3 hours of frustration for someone who thought they knew what they were doing (having set up a couple wireless networks in the past). If laptop is older it might not be compatible with WPA2, or AES encryption. I do have wireless internet but I could not get on the internet last night even though my computer told me the wireless signal was excellect. Every time I try to access the Internet it'd say that I was unable to connect. Wireless Connected But No Internet Access All other laptops and phones can connect using the Sky broadband. Had the same issue...my network said I was connected, but could not access the internet.
Should hopefully fix the problem. Turns out a few of the digits were 'deleted' somehow when I unplugged the wall jack and so the security wasn't allowing me onto the internet. It was on my daughters laptop and now she is able to get on facebook, etc etc again. My Computer Wont Connect To Wifi But Other Devices Can Wait a moment.
