Of course there is a major problem when we can't get into Windows to get to this screen. In this way, you'll not need to press "F8" key. Click Apply, then OK. Either way, the next boot will take you into safe mode.
For Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Server 2008 users: Windows Vista and Windows 7 boot loader is quite different from Windows XP boot loader. Have you tried uninstalling it, then remove its program folder,if it still remains, and clear the Temp folder ? Thanks! I've also tried hitting F2 but nothing.
