I had previously searched microsoft and other websites that show all the other fixes as far as add/remove programs in control panel and finding the calc.exe file in System 32 folder. If you can copy the windows to a folder on another pc then the cd is likely ok. I've read many queries similar to mine, but have found no answers yet.
